Normally, groups organized on Meetup.com meet locally, in person -- at a coffee shop, say, or a bar. These days, it seems that at least some have moved online to Zoom and Skype. I briefly looked at the site and found a few groups in New York and Los Angeles that are now online. The few I checked in Europe seem to be meeting in person.
