Popular food that you will never try...
I recently had a conversation with one of my students about food. We talked about some dishes, that are popular in our countries that we have no desire to try! He is from France and he says he does not like eating snails. We also talked about his trip to the Philippines, and how he refused to try (baluto egg) *Google at own risk.... When i lived in the USA I pretended to be allergic to crab meat so I can avoid eating it !! I also do not like sushi (can't get past the raw fish thing)!! What are some foods you don't like that are popular?

Well, most of the food listed so far I’ve eaten and liked.
However, I’m not going to eat anchovies.

Merengue. Main part of the most popular cake around here. To me it's like eating sweetened chalk, I find the mouth-feel so horrid, it makes cold shivers run up and down my spine just thinking about it ... =/ ... close to going to the dentist.

Haha, how unique! All those popular food are what most people regarded as delicious. I've always been curious to try baluto egg but feeling grossed out at the same time :(. In Indonesia, where I came from, noodle is very popular. Especially Indonesian chicken noodle which called 'bakmie ayam'. Many people like it so much, but in my opinion, the taste is just so so.
