If you only know hiragana and a bit of kanji then I recommend you try the graded readers app! Its on mobile devices and they also have physical books available through white rabbit press.
If you have a good grasp on N5 level grammar then I recommend trying children's books (which can also be found on white rabbit press) or some easy manga such as Yotsuba&, Shirokuma Cafe, Tsurezure children, Natsume's book of friends or just about any shoujo manga.
If you have an account with WaniKani then I recommend going over to their forum! They have an excellent reading club for all levels of learning! Every week they read a chapter and discuss any grammar, kanji or vocabulary they had trouble with. For each chapter the reading club leader makes a google doc with all the vocab and kanji used in the chapter so you can refer to if you need to. I think it's a great place to develop your reading skills!
Sorry for the long post, hope this helps some. Let me know if you have any more questions!
頑張って!
