What are your language learning goals?
What are your goals with language learning? Travel? Work?
What is your goal level of proficiency? Fluent? Conversational? Just written or spoken?
How many hours per day/week do you dedicate to language learning?

hello there.
It depends on the language... as for English, I didn't need any reason or any specific goal to start it. Or maybe the reason was so apparent that I didn't need to even think about it...when I was younger, I wanted to educate abroad and then start a living there...but I gave up.... as for other languages,... let's see..
Japanese: I learned it because I liked it... but after 3 years when I got fully familiar with Japanese culture, I figured out that I never want to even visit Japan, so just dropped it.
Arabic: I had to learn it, was required by my university.
Turkish: My father forced me to learn it, but after 2 years, I started liking it and then continued on my own.
Russian: I still have no answer :D

how many hours I dedicate for language learning... at least one hour a day... less than that isn't called language learning, it is more like playing with a language or... just entertaining yourself with it as a hobby.

Goal level of proficiency... mainly being able to communicate freely, without any language barrier, but never any academic stuff on the horizon ... not because it's not interesting, but too far to be real.

I first started learning Japanese way back in high school, back in like 2009 but stopped after a few months.
Earlier this year when the coronavirus lockdown first started in New Zealand I decided to start studying again. I had a much better time this go around and just stuck with it. I find it a lot of fun but a bit difficult sometimes. I started talking to a few Japanese people online as well just as a way to keep myself motivated so that definitely helped me out a lot.
Eventually as the world calms down a bit I'd love to go visit. Who knows how long that will take, however...

I just want to express myself with more clarity. In either theoretical or practical way, I think English can help me with that.

I haven't took a test for a long time so I don't know what current level my English is.

I tend to think bilingually. I learn as I breathe, I suppose.

I would appreciate it if someone could correct my sentences above.

Good question.
My recent goal was improving speech by practicing with English speaking natives for success at job interviews. But since this goal is next to impossible I'm just having fun taking part in discussions here and doing random activity related to English language.
