High life does not have a meaning, but it can be described by telling what you want to own, to have your confortable life. Yes a lots of expensive things could be the answer. Showing to others your treasures, the feeling of pride by owning more than them. Not really a meaning (for me).
But life itself has meaning.

In my opinion high life is as a rule comfortable life: big house, good and expensive car...actually a lot of expensive things.

It's like a luxurious lifestyle, expensive cars, food..jet skis, big house etc
So an example would be "After winning the lottery, he's living the high life"
