If you are open-minded, you may wish to read "Le Livre noir du comminisme," by a group of French scholars.  You can find it in English under the name "The Black Book of Communism," or in Russian under the name "Чёрная книга коммунизма".  If you read the book without prejudice, you will discover that in order to be like Lenin and Stalin, you will have to murder and imprison millions of people.
