Well, I just don't understand why Japanese needs to say double I?
わたし > I
わ > I
The interesting thing is that the verb is put in the end of the sentence です.
Hi, it has been 5 days since I started learning Japanese. :) So far, I have remembered 20 Hiragana characters. Well, maybe it will take me more time to remember all of them. 2 more weeks? Maybe.
1. あ a
2. い i (this one just has 2 simple stroke but I find it difficult to write it neatly)
3. う u (1 stroke like a symbol in Vietnamese: è or 丶(zhǔ in Chinese), 1 stroke like a half of heart ^.^)
4. え e (this one is quite like this Chinese character 见, however, it doesn't has the hook at the end)
5. お o ( I think あ and お are quite similar. Since I have practiced each one for almost 1 page, I haven't mistaken them any more.)
Well, comparing to English, Hiragana also has 5 vowel letters. Besides, I have to admit that I really like those かわいいcharacters.
That's it. I hope that I can keep patient to learn all the characters in Japanese. JUST 26 MORE!!!

You could try flashcards?
I use flashcards but sometimes I get lazy so I forget letters here and there XD
And try to memorize all of Hiragana before you start Katankana.
I went from Katakana to Hiragana and I would mix them up.

I doubt that if a mistake was made, because エミーis not Anna, but Amy. Anna should be "エンナ"
