What is the difference between "based in" and "based on", and the use of each term?
Can anyone help me to distinguish the use of "based in" and "based on", and please give specific example. Thanks!!!

Sure based in usually refers to location. Microsoft is based in Seattle Washington. Based on is more general. The movie I watched yesterday was based on a novel. I hope this helps.
