Meaning that the lion lives its life so different from us, that even if we could exchange words verbally, we still wouldn't be able to understand it.
Sometimes I feel the same way towards people from another country, from another culture. That since our upbringing and surroundings are so different, thoughts and ideas lost in translation. Even if we could get the words right, there are still things missing in the context.

Hi Georgi, I hope I didn't offend you with this quote. Actually I didn't mean anything bad with it. I was trying to say sometimes people from another culture could be hard to understand. And by saying so, I think same goes the other way too.
Also, hmm... I didn't make this saying up myself :p I merely quoted the austrian philosopher Wittgenstein. If it really is that difficult for you to swallow, let's substitute it with a butterfly, or a bunny, or... ponies, unicorns... maybe?

italki discussion in my opinion are perfect way to test and improve our communication skills in a multicultural environment.
