In my country, there are three main meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We have snacks anytime we want.
In western countries (CMIIW) there are four main meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper. They have snacks during tea time in the afternoon.

There are only three meals in the west. Some call them breakfast, lunch, and dinner while others say breakfast, dinner, and supper.
We also combine breakfast and lunch and call it brunch.
Most people snack all day.
