How do you say "I burnt my tongue" in Japanese?
I was told that in Japanese they take things very literally、 so saying I burnt my tongue will be too serious.
下が焼けるほど暑い。
これはいいですか?
Or is there a better way to phrase it?

舌が火傷するほどスープが熱かったのかな?
