Do you like classical music? Who are your favourite composers?

Classical music is not only a hobby for me - it is a very important part of my life. I like the baroque style in particular, my favourite composer is J. S. Bach, I think he is the greatest.

I like the russian romantics as well, i.e. Sergei Rachmaninov.

And you?

Rather like the English food product 'Marmite', you either 'love it or hate it' :  I refer to the music of Johannes Brahms.  For me, it is the best translation in to sound of the most profound of human emotions.

Of course, J.S. Bach, W.A.Mozart, Edward Elgar (at his best, not the bombastic stuff), César Franck . . the list could go on . .

I totally agree with Manuel, music can be bad or good.

An other distinction: there are music, which can be listened in the background, i.e. during your work or study, and there are music which you MUST listen to.

Oh, now I agree with agi... I hadn't thought about this.
I listen different kind of music when I listen in background or when I want to "listen music"
My favourites when I want to listen are:
- Requiem by Mozart (Karajan Version)
- Yngwie Malmsteen, Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E flat minor, Opus 1 (Please listen this)

I Think that classical music played with rock/metal instruments, (only when have made good) is a fabulous experience.

I like to listen to Sarasate's for violin plays (yes, I know he was a violinist) but my favourite composer is Bach as well.
