I am probably one of the few people here who loves grammar. I like to see the logic, and the connections in building up the sentence. Most likely, I am an exception here. I am better in exact science than in languages, this would explain my love for logic and hence grammar.

Personally I think that grammar gets more interesting once you're more advanced. Because then you can see a big picture. For example, when I was studying English as a child I found tenses very confusing. Till I actually saw them all put into a table and it became so easy.
I had a similar feeling when I understood where the Korean future tense ending 을 거예요 is coming from.
Probably people who like science tend to like grammar more. Although I have a few students (I teach English) who really like science and hate learning grammar, so maybe this is not the rule. But they usually just don't like learning languages.
But it's good to know I'm not the only grammar geek here :)
I hate studying grammar rules a lot and for me was useless. My first attempt to learn english was through studying tons of boring books of english grammar. I understood all the concept when I studied grammar. It was easy and I though that due to my hard effort I will speak english very well. However I was wrong because I can´t speak english naturally and when I attempted to speak I had to think a lot "what is the proper conjugation of this verb in the past? Should I use simple past or present perfect? ". Therefore I couldn´t speak english. I only knew tons of useless grammar rules but I can´t spoke. Eventually I forgot all that I learned and I only lost my time. In fact this create bad habits and fears that I didn´t have. I wish that I had never studied grammar rules because I felt shy to speak with another person in english. I was frightened to make mistakes. I used to think a lot before I spoke. I was frustrated because I only lost money and time. Fortunately I found a good method that showed me that my previous teachers were wrong. "studying so hard grammar rules isn´t the key to speak english well". The best way to speak english is by audio input and repetition. By this way you will learn tons of vocabulary, you will learn grammar (without noticing and painless). you won´t forget what you learn, and no matter if you make a lot of mistakes, you will improve. I know that I make mistakes but I can share my ideas more easily and confidently. Mistakes are my friends and eventually I will get rid of them by listening a lot phrases and conversations from native speakers.
Yes I do. I have been studying English for 2 years. I practiced 3 grammar textbooks for 4 months in this term. My grammar textbooks are for beginner and middle level. I think that these books are useful for my English study. Sometimes I read these books again. I think that grammar should be studied in the beginnings.
I don't love grammar, neither I hate it. It could be a little boring reading a lot of rules but it's really necessary for a good understanding of a new language.
I love grammar because it is logic and can help me in parsing a sentence. Once we learn the grammar of a language, we can make comparison between the language we have learnt and the one that we are learning. This is one of the linguistic aspects. Most people think it is difficult.
