Do you like speaking in public?

Last week I had to present something to about fifty people in English. I like these sort of things very much. I like to be in the centre of attention, and make a few jokes. I am a software engineer, and I had to explain something about a new product. I guess it runs in the family. My mother and grandfather both did amature drama as a hobby, and also my father like to do speeches at weddings and birthdays. So I love speaking in public.

I can't say I've met many people who really enjoying speaking in public. A lot of people, myself included, find it really stressful. And that's in my native language, I would be even worse if I had to do it in a foreign language!

i absolutely hate it. İ may have a phobia about this. :( and i have a speech next week in front of my lecturer and classmates.now i hate it more :D and i dunno how to avoid from this fear.any idea?

I have problems to talk in public, just I don't like to do it, but when i stand in front of many many people (I act, play piano, made presentations, etc), i just talk with no problems.

I am a software developer and I never have any problems presenting my programs in demonstrations, including in front of large crowds. In fact, I would say that I enjoy it.

 

However, if I were giving a lecture on something that I was not completely familiar with, that would probably be nerve wracking
