How to improve pronunciation when the way of speaking is already formed ? I get used to speaking a little bit fast ,kind of omitting my wrong pronunciations ,and sometimes I can't say certain simple words correctly . Since I have a decent capacity of vocabulary ,I get accustomed to expressing myself by long sentence in high speed .show down my speed will lead me stuck in wrong pronunciation ,thereby seriously devastating my oral English ,but if let it go ,people sometimes can't understand me cause my suck pronunciation . Anyway ,I really appreciate anyone give me any suggestions ,to help me come with a way to figure out my obstacle and tackle my hurdle .my sincere thanks to you .

How does one to improve pronunciation when the way of speaking is already formed ?

I get am used to speaking a little bit fast, kind of omitting my wrong pronunciations. and Sometimes I can't say certain simple words correctly .

Since I have a decent capacity of vocabulary, I get accustomed to expressing myself by long sentences in/at high speed. Slowing down my speed will leads me stuck into wrong pronunciation ,thereby seriously devastating my oral English. But if let it go I continue speaking fast, people sometimes can't understand me because my pronunciation sucks .

Anyway, I really appreciate anyone that would give me any suggestions to help me come up with a way to figure out my obstacle and tackle my this hurdle. My sincere thanks to you .

There are accent reduction programs available, typically audio courses. They specifically aim at re-training pronunciation. Some are even adapted to the problems of native speakers of a specific language, though if you can't find one aimed at Asian language speakers, choose a general accent reduction training. It will help you tremedously, because it teaches you how to produce the sound correctly.

Hello Richard, Rucky Lucky is right. You need to listen to as many English programmes, you can get hold of. I do, however, suggest that you focus on standard English (either British or American/ Canadian or Australian) because those accents form the clearest pronunciation. Avoid strong dialects. Observe people's faces and mouths when they speak and try to repeat certain words that you struggle with in front of a mirror watching your own mouth carefully. Read a text and record it, then listen to it and see whether you can understand it yourself and compare it to that of native speakers. If you like I can record some texts for you and email them to you. I will also send the texts to you, so you can read them out aloud following my recordings. You can then compare your pronunciation with mine. In return you can also record your texts and email them to me, so I can listen to them and point out possible mistakes. You can PM me your email address if you like. You can watch lots of BBC documentaries and programmes and also Sky News on YouTube. Kindest regards, Frauke
