How to teach my special student English well?

Tonight, I am pleased to receive a recieve an special Englsih English learner. The reason I describe him special is that he is 44 years old now and he have has never studied English before. He is eager to master basic English for in one year. He has a pretty good memory and he can learn English at least one hour day each day. All the above are his advantages. Still, he has his own disadvanages. But, most importantly, his learning English has nothing to do with himself. It is meant for providing to give a helping hand to his son, who can't do well in English but have a good perfomance in all the other subjects. The father wants to give an example to his honey son that English is not so difficult to master conquer. He wants to tell his son, "If your father can do this, I think you can do better." This is special father's special way to convey his love for his son. common love. 

Although mastering English in one year is quite quiet difficult for a mid-aged father, I have made up my mind to help him. Because, we have the same strong feeling to give our love to our child whenever he or she needs it.
