Conjuncts; When two or more consonants join together, they are pronounced together and called conjunct consonants.
Examples;
क् + य = क्य
द् + य = द्य
ज् + र = ज्र
A sigh "्" called "hal" is usued when a inherent vowel"अ" in every consonant sound is erased.

Thank you. We Japanese know only " a consonat + a vowel" forms like "a" "ka" "sa" "ta" "na" ・・・.
But in Marathi and Hindi, there are conjuncts. Surprising!
