The difference between British and American spelling
Surfing on the Internet I discovered the table which I place right here. It's the first time I've met such variants of spelling words as "connexion" or "oecology". It made me think about few questions. Are these words still used in British English? Could you make other examples of words with "-xion"? Is it correct to use words with American spelling in British English?
Any comments to the table and this topic are appriciated.

I agree with ElseMush.
In addition, I would say that some other significant... differences between American English and British English is the use of 'u' (in British English) and 'o' (in American English); e.g. mum / mom; colour / color and so on. Also I think the use of 's' and 'z' is quite variable between British English and American English. Typically though, my mind has gone blank thinking of an example!
I'm sorry I didn't write sooner Elena, I know you sent me a message asking to respond, I was away for a very long time but I hope I helped in some small way.

I think the table is wrong.
Both would write connection but complexion (connexion can be used in English but is rare). Judgement is more common in Britain and judgment in the US, although both are acceptable either side of the Atlantic. Oecology is wrong. it's ecology. English is also starting to use the American English ize endings more and more, especially for -ization. The others look correct. There's a great dictionary for this. type askoxford.com - you can switch between English and American English at the bottom of the page for each word.

Thank you, Nathaniel and Roro. However, gentlemen (and ladies too!) what about my questions? Could native British-English speakers answer me, please?
