Why many people visit museums when they travel to new places? Hi I am studying for the TOEFL test, and I've been making some essays. They are big and I know that here is not the right place to post it, but if anyone want to correct and help me, Will make me happy! Travel is a good thing to do, we all know it. When we go to another place sometimes we wanted to go to museums what is the reason? There are many reasons, and it is not only about see interesting landscapes, or see the work of famous men like Leonardo Da Vinci or Picasso. There are more things to do at a museum. First of all the main reason to go to the museums is in my opinion learn new things, when we are at a museum we learn a lot of stuffs that we didn't know, even when we are experts on that subject. So doesn't matter if you are a common people that don't know much about art or if you are someone that study the history of the art, at a museum you will probably learn something that ever crossed your mind. A second reason is that when we are in a foreign country we wanted to learn more about the culture of those people and the best place to do it is at a museum of course. There will be many pictures of wars, revolutions and other important things that happened at that country. Seeing all these picture we will understand better the culture of those people. At the museum we can also figure out why those people are who they are. So for example if they aren't really happy it may be because of something that happened at the past, like a war or a bad period when the government was make the population feel afraid of everything. At a museum we can see pictures, objects, instruments, everything of that period and we will be able to imagine how that time was. All that reasons above can be considerate only one: learn new things. So in my point that is the main reason to visit museums.

Why many people visit museums when they travel to new places?

Hi!  I am studying for the TOEFL test (Take out this comma) and I've been making writing some essays. They are big and I know that here this is not the right place to post it.  However, if anyone want to correct and help me, then that will make me happy!

Traveling is a good thing to do, we all know that. When we go to another place sometimes we wanted to go to museums so what is the reason? There are many reasons, and it is not only about seeing interesting landscapes, or seeing the work of famous men like Leonardo Da Vinci or Picasso. There are more things to do at a museum than just that.
First of all, the main reason to go to the museums is, in my opinion, to learn new things When we are at a museum, we learn a lot of stuffs facts that we didn't know even when we are experts on that a specific subject. So it doesn't matter if you are a common people person that doesn't know much about art or if you are someone that studies the history of the art.  At a museum, you will probably learn something that never crossed your mind before.
A second reason, is that when we are in a foreign country we wanted to learn more about the culture of those people. and The best place to do it is at a museum of course. There will be many pictures of wars, revolutions, and other important things that happened at in that country. Seeing all of those pictures we will helps us to understand better the culture of those people.
At the museum, we can also figure out why those people are who they are. So for example, if they aren't really happy it may be because of something that happened at in the past, like a war or a bad period when the government was made the population feel afraid of everything about breaking the law. At a museum, we can see pictures, objects, instruments, and everything of that period and we will can be able to imagine how that time was.
All the reasons above can be considerate to only one purpose, which is to learn new things.  So in my point of view, that is the main reason to why we should visit museums.

Mantenha o trabalho bom.  Boa sorte no seu exame.  Eu acho que você fazerá bem.
