Daniel Day-Lewis plays Christy Brown, Brenda Fricker plays Mrs. Brown, Ray McAnally plays Mr. Brown, Fiona Shaw plays Dr. Eileen Cole, and Ruth McCabe plays Mary. In this movie Christy is born to a poor family in Dublin, Ireland. He has cerebral palsy so his family helps him. Later, he displays a talent for drawing. When he grows up and his mother calls in the doctor for help. She is a women and she teaches him how to overcome the disease. He loves her but she has a fiance. He also has a hard time so his mother doesn't give up on him. His family makes his room after his dad dies and he writes his autobiography. Later, he is invited to a charity event. There, he meets a women. Her name is Mary. He tells her his impressive stories. He asks her on a date but she has another date. Later, she chooses Christy and they look out over the sea, and it is a happy ending. The message of the movie is that you should use one's influence to overcome a problem. My Left Foot: The Story Of Christy Brown is based on a true story. This movie has humor, drama, and romance. I feel very good about the actors. This movie’s characters are very real, and they are like members of my own family. I think mothers all over the world are just amazing. I learned a lot about cerebral palsy and Irish culture, too. I would definitely recommend this movie. If you need to feel better, you should watch this movie.
