Essay: The only purpose of working hard is to earn money. To what extent do you agree or disagree? These days, most people argue that, sole purpose of hard work is to generate money. While, I believe that, hard work is our duty that benefits mankind and motivates us on our daily lives regardless of monetary earnings. Money is one of the essential components of our personal life. However, there are several other priorities that may differ at our individual levels. For example, lord Buddha was a prince of Lumbini. Material belongings could not catch his attention, then he left royal palace and went outside as a commoner. Later he turned out to be a great spiritual leader of his times. This all happened as a result of his devotion where money was not an driving factor. We are not made for money. Rather, money is made for us. It is possible to use the money earned from hard work to buy materials. However, money can not buy happiness and satisfaction. Neither it can buy morality, nor discipline. For instance, we can purchase a golden bed from our earnings with a hard work, but sleep is not on sale. Moreover, food can be bought where hunger is not sold. Thus, working hard for money may not always prove to be fruitful. In conclusion, hard work is an essential part of our daily activity, it can generate both satisfaction, and money. At this point, I disagree with the view that, working hard is to earn money, because it is not on my priority list.

I agree with your conclusion. A lasting memory for me is talking with a piano tuner. He had done is job for over 35 years and was never once bored with it. He didn't do it for money but because he loved it. As time went on and his skills were improved, the money he earned was just a sideline to the fascinating aspects of his life. For example he worked at the BBC where he met many celebrities and once tuned Elton John's piano. I would like a job that I can enjoy just as well as this man.
