UCHI-AWASE／打ち合わせ In Japanese, “UCHI-AWASE” means conference or meeting. But I realize its meaning is deeper than conference or meeting. When you see its character literally, it says 打ち=UCHI=hit or shoot / 合わせ=AWASE=merge. I notice this means “to shoot the ideas each other at the meeting then you can merge bigger idea”. You should bring your ideas at the meeting, otherwise you can’t argue without them and you just listen to the others’ ideas. So I always prepare ideas before participating meeting.

Therefore, the whole meaning is "to shoot ideas at each other in a meeting so that you can merge them into a bigger idea". You should bring your ideas to the meeting, because you can’t argue without them, and you'll be limited to listening to the others' ideas. So I always prepare ideas before participating in meetings.
