Who should be responsible for paying for cleaning up the environment? Nowadays, the environment around people affects their daily life in many aspects, so cleaning up it to make people lead a healthy life becomes more and more crucial. Many people believe that private companies, rather than the government should pay for cleaning up the environment. I partly agree with this opinion. Obviously, purifying the public zone is responsibility of the government. As we know, as a citizen, we pay taxes to the government and they, of course, should use the fund to improve our quality of life, including the public services, infrastructure and so forth. Paying for cleaning up the environment, of course, is their duty. However, paying for cleaning up the environment also is the duty to some private companies. The reason of that is they pollute the environment. For example, some corporations are belong to industrial production and they create waste and pollution that finally result in polluting the air, rivers and lakes. It is their false that creating so much waste which is needed to clean up. In addition, the root cause of why we need to clean up is just because we create rubbish, waste and so forth. What I mean is that there are many other things we need to concern not just caring about who should pay for cleaning up the environment. We need to unite the community, including the government, corporations and individuals, to protect the environment. To sum up, paying for purifying the environment is not the responsibility of the government alone. Some private companies also need to pay for it, especially that companies creating waste and pollution. In addition, these companies should develop cleaner energy and treat their waste properly. For the government, they should introduce laws to fine those corporations that pollute the environment in order to fulfill their responsibility of supervisor to the society.
