Persian New Year BEGINS ON VERNAL(autumnal) EQUINOX; the day that the length of THE day and night is equal (twenty-first of March); the first day of spring when nature starting to renew. 
 
The first day of THE New Year celebration is called Nowruze. Nuwruze is the great national celebration of Iran, A DAY THAT IS FILLED WITH VARIOUS TRADITIONS. 
 
People CLEAN ALL THINGS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM ; everywhere and everything should be neat and tidy for THE coming year. People buy new curtains and furniture for their home and put on the best clothes.
