The popular belief is that the traditional examination system when students have to write answers on paper during the exam is the best way to check their knowledge, while others think that we need to change this method. What is the most appropriate point of view regarding to the issue of the best examination from? In one sense, a formal writing examination has been existing for a long time. In my view, it shows that traditional way to write your answer about the task during the exam is one of the most reliable ways to check student’s knowledge about the subject. Moreover, there are a big variety of different types of exams when answers should be written by students in order to prove their educational achievements. For instance, writing essays is the best option to check grammar skills, while the various tests can be very useful for science subjects such as math and physic. In another sense, however, in many majors it sees impossible to check students achievements by writing exams. For instance, art subjects require another approach because there is no ways to show how somebody good at playing of musical instruments, for example, using paper. Another example is occupations which require some abilities like public speaking. Thus, it is necessary to have other tools to check student’s knowledge and skills. In conclusion, I think that formal “pen and paper” examinations are integral part of any education system. Nevertheless, I must admit that it seems impossible for some occupations to check student’s achievements by writing exams. I believe that people need to have a variety of methods in order to check the academic accomplishment of students.
