If people had Youtube in 1912, what to do you think they'd be posting videos of ? Interesting writing prompt here! I guess if Youtube would have existed back in 1912, the internet, computers, smartphone would have existed too? Based on this statement, I imagine that the Titanic movie would have been realized by James Cameron based on the Youtube video of the ship sinking. Survivors may have used their phones to capture the video of the responsible iceberg of the ship sinking. Imagine Paris back in 1912 with this incredible, typically French mood at this period! I guess we could have seen videos of the Effeil tower construction. Videos of car races, sports etc... That makes me think about a video that I saw yesterday for the Rugby world cup in England. The evolution of the All blacks' Haka since 1912. At the beginning, when they performed their Haka (A dance that Neo-zelandish players do before the kick off to impress their adversary) it was very funny because maybe it's due to their clothes which are a little bit different from now or maybe because they were skinny and not shaped like actual professional players... Maybe youtube would have been only muted? I mean only videos with pictures and soundless? I think that a this period, cinema movies were at their beginnings and Charlie Chaplin was one of the most famous actor. I guess that people would have created "hoax videos" as you can see nowadays. To tell the truth about governments, events etc... In fact Youtube now have changed our lives because twenty years ago, TV was an important part of our lives and now you can watch all sorts of programms on this plateform. If you want to see a documentary, you just have to type the title in the searchbar. It's also used to watch movies (but not all movies are availables).Commercial breaks also have taken a part of the cake. Sometimes before a video, you have to watch a publicity. Imagine back in 1912, you have to watch a Youtube commercial break about bras...
