Should we always be polite to others? There is no denying that always being polite to others is very important for us to get on well with others and thus helping deal with trouble, especially when we refer to trouble in our daily lives. Always being polite will make others easy to accept you and your opinion. This point is much crucial for teacher to correct students' problems. One illustrative example being my brother Jim, he is a math teacher in high school. So polite he is that everyone who knows him likes him very much. He is also so polite to his student; every time his students make any mistakes, he will talk with them patiently. And it is really useful for students to accept his advices. From this point of view, if you want to make others agree with you on your opinion, it is better for you to be polite to others. However, plausible as the above scenario may seem, it is still irrational to overstate its significance because sometimes it is no use to be polite to solve problems, especially when we focus on emergencies. For example, you should not count on policeman be polite to the criminals, who are threatening others' lives. When people's lives are under threatened, the best way to solve this problem is not being polite to criminals. The only thing we should do is forcing to subdue them, thus ensuring others’ lives and safety. It is these impolite measures that are useful to deal with emergencies sometimes.
