One of Tohoku region, Miyagi prefecture has Onagawa town. The town is also one of suffered from big earthquake and big tsunami. The other day, I heard wonderful story about the town... Onagawa town had good fishing ground since a long time ago. The town was blessed rich marine products. So, fishery processing was busy. The town has been accepting many chinese trainees. On the 11th of last month, the tragedy was happen to them. Big tsunami attacked the town. According to one theory, the tsunami's height was from 15 to 18 meters. Can you belive that? However It is true because there are cars above some buildings. At that time, the Chinese trainees was working at the fishery processing plant. They come from very far place. I think they would not have the feel of the place. So they would scared. At first, they were run away to their accommodation. After a short time their managing director came for them, and he was evacuated them above a hill. His name is Mr.Sato Mitsuru (佐藤充さん). There was a Shinto shrine on the hill. Mr.Sato threw money coins into an offertory box and prayed for everybody. Then he ran down to search his family. Immediately following, tsunami attacked the town and him. Sadly, he passed away.... His brave behavior saved precious lives. I am proud of him as a Japanese. Over 160 Chinese people of living in Onagawa were survived their lives. I heard also a news that all over 160 Chinese people of living in Onagawa were survived their lives. I am very glad to hear the news. There are many Chinese in Japan. However we don't have chance to contact to them. I want some chances to speak with them. Japanese and Chinese are same Asians. Our country cause trouble at diplomatic relations and about history sometimes, but I want to be friendly with many Chinese. I think Mr.Sato will desire our closer relations. How do you feel this story?

The precious lives of twenty Chinese. ~Japanese brave man Mr. Sato~

Japan has many fishing ports. The Tohoku region also has them. Japan has lived with sea since a long time ago. A prefecture of the Tohoku region, the Miyagi prefecture has Onagawa town. The town has also suffered from the big earthquake and big tsunami. (deleted "one of") The other day, I heard a wonderful story about the town...

Onagawa town had good fishing ground since a long time ago. The town was blessed with rich marine products. So, fishery processing was busy. The town had been accepting many Chinese trainees.

On the 11th of last month, the tragedy happened to them.
The big tsunami attacked the town. According to one theory, the tsunami's height was between 15 and 18 meters. Can you believe that? However It is true because there are cars above some buildings.
At that time, the Chinese trainees were working at the fishery processing plant.
They come from very far place. I think they did not have the feel of the place. So they would have been scared.
At first, they ran away to their accommodation(s). (This change is only applicable if they have separate accommodations.)  After a short time their managing director came for them, and he evacuated them to the top of hill. His name was Mr.Sato Mitsuru (佐藤充さん). (Unfortunately, he is now deceased, and in English we usually refer to the deceased in the past tense.) There was a Shinto shrine on the hill. Mr.Sato threw money coins into an offertory box and prayed for everybody. Then he ran down to search for his family. Immediately following, tsunami attacked the town and him. Sadly, he passed away....

His brave behavior saved precious lives. I am proud of him as a Japanese. Over 160 Chinese people living in Onagawa were survived their lives. (deleted "of") I heard this from the news. (I'm sorry, I cut out the repetition because native English-speakers would not repeat themselves like that in writing.) I was very glad to hear the news.

There are many Chinese in Japan. However we don't have chance to contact them. (deleted "to") I want some chances to speak with them. Japanese and Chinese are same, Asians. Our country causes trouble at diplomatic relations and about history sometimes, but I want to be friendly with many Chinese.
I think Mr.Sato will desire our closer relations.

How do you feel about this story?

I hope you feel that I preserved the feel of your note while correcting it.
As a linguistic side-note, English speakers usually don't refer to people of Asian decent and/or citizenship with the lineage as a noun. We say" Mr. Sato was Japanese" and we say "Mr. Sato was a Japanese person," but we seldom say "Mr. Sato was a Japanese." It's not technically incorrect. After all, it's not incorrect at all to say" Mr. Epple is a German," it's just not commonly used by people who speak English as their first language.
