Today is a sad day here in Colombia because the writer and scriptwriter Fernando Gaitan<font style="background-color: yellow;"> has</font> passed away. He was famous for writ<strike>e</strike><font style="background-color: yellow;">ing</font> the TV soap "Ugly Betty<font style="background-color: yellow;">, </font> <strike>O</strike><font style="background-color: yellow;">o</font>ne of the most recognized soap<font style="background-color: yellow;"> operas</font> in the world. Ugly Betty has been translate<font style="background-color: yellow;"> into</font> over 25 languages and <strike>it</strike> has been broadcast in more than 180 countries.
However Gaitan was a very prolific writer. He wrote other TV hits like "Coffee, woman's essence" and "Until money separate<font style="background-color: yellow;">s</font> us".
