Do animals could reproduce by cloning?
The reproduction without male named parthenogenese is a few usual phenomenon. Since a millons of years, a small invertebrate uses that method to reproduce. It is a Bdelloidea.
The rotifer Bdelloidea are the only to use that method with success.
Those tiny bilaterians of spark water had survived and been diversified over dozens of million years by reproducing themselves. This reproducing have produced now several of hundred of speces from one ancestral speces.

Can animals reproduce through cloning?
Reproduction without a male, known as parthenogenese, is quite a common phenomenon. For millions of years, one small invertebrate has been using this method to reproduce: this creature is the Bdelloidea.
The rotifer Bdelloidea is the only animal which has successfully reproduced using this method.
Those tiny bilaterians, which live in fresh water,* have survived and diversified over dozens of million years by reproducing themselves in this way. This process of reproduction has produced several of hundreds of species from one ancestral species.

Hello Laetitia! Good work, keep at it. You chose a tricky topic and made a good attempt.
If you have the time, I would be very grateful if you could read my latest notebook! Thanks

Well, parthenogenesis is common for insects such as ants and bees. Drones get to the world from unfertilized eggs. But if you ask for cloning the only animal ever cloned is sheep, Dolly. She was the first animal ever cloned, but she had tons of health problems and died soon. Cloning brings also lots of legal and formal issues and it is not permitted!
