Go abroad to learn a new language!
There are many ways to be able to afford to go to a foreign country. When I was in university, I did a one-year exchange program in the south of Spain. While I was there, I also worked at a hotel and taught English.
Teaching English brought me a sufficient amount of income. An exchange allowed me to pay as much for courses in Spain as I would back home in Canada. Working at a hotel allowed me to interact with guests speaking Spanish. All of this helped improve my English and it wasn’t even that expensive!
Also for cheap places to stay when you aren’t working or studying perhaps, stay in hostels. You will find them in all major cities and pay 10% of what you would pay for in a hotel! But remember, you are sharing a room with other people but that is the fun of it, trust me. Because everyone is just like you, travelling and exploring!
