对于英语写作来说，主语过长的话要有形式主语It 代替，将真正的主语移后，用动词不定式来表达。例 It’s important to be with your family during the Spring festival. It 是形式主语，to be with your family 动词不定式做真正的句子主语，during the Spring festival 做时间状语。在他重写的句子中还运用了定语从句，例如Many Chinese （who work away from home want to get home,）这部分是定语从句来修饰many Chinese 。It’s hard to buy a train ticket because there are so many people lined up around the block.同样使用形式主语it,并运用了原因状语从句，来解释一票难求的原因。“Whether or not you have money, go home for the Spring festival.” whether引导宾语从句后可以加or not ，表示无论，但if 的用法却不可以真接or not.

Here is how I would say it in everyday American English.
The Spring Festival is very important to Chinese. It’s important to be with your family during the Spring festival. Many Chinese who work away from home want to get home, by bus, by train or by other means of transportation. It’s hard to buy a train ticket because there are so many people lined up around the block. So some of them have to use other means of transportation to get home. As the saying goes, “Whether or not you have money, go home for the Spring festival.”
