The thing that happened today I work with an American man. He asked me to hang out the other day, and today we met up each other at a coffee shop. It was the first time for me to hang out with him. I still can't express myself in English, so I was a little nervous. Once I saw him waving his hand from a distance, I got relaxed and smiled. I was happy to see him, but words didn't come out when I need them. I couldn't speak English enough. Every time I try to speak English, my head goes totally blank. It's so frustrating. How can I overcome this? I need to practice speaking a lot. I'm going to take this frustration to motivate myself. I'll definitely improve my English!!

I work with an American man. He asked me to hang out the other day, and today we met up with each other at a coffee shop. It was the first time for me to hang out with him. I still can't express myself in English, so I was a little nervous. Once I saw him waving his hand from a distance, I got relaxed and smiled. I was happy to see him, but words didn't come out when I needed them. I couldn't speak English well enough. Every time I try to speak English, my head goes totally blank. It's so frustrating. The thing that happened today

I work with an American man. The other day he asked me to hang out the other day, and so today we met up each other at a coffee shop. It was the first time that I'd hung out for me to hang out with him. I still can't easily express myself in English, so I was a little nervous, but once I saw him waving his hand from a distance, I got relaxed and smiled.

I was happy to see him, but words didn't come out when I needed them. I couldn't speak English well enough. Every time I try to speak English, my head goes totally blank. It's so frustrating! How can I overcome this? I need to practice speaking a lot. I'm going to take use this frustration to motivate myself. I'll definitely improve my English!!

GREAT WORK! A good method for practicing conversational English is to write some phrases and memorise them. Then use them in a real conversation and they will sound familiar and natural.

Yes, I think I know how you feel. This is a common experience, lots of us feel that way. It looks like you've already figured out the solution, and you're using the experience as an engine to drive you forward. That's awesome.

I think the best way for you to practice your speech is through actually speaking, and speaking it often. There's an app called "what's app." It has a great voice messaging feature. I suggest you practice with an American friend through voice notes throughout your day. That way you can listen to how words sound, and hear where you need help at. It's okay to make mistakes, that is part of the process. Stay positive and focused. With persistence and time you will get it. Keep practicing!

Hi Sae. Try scheduling an informal tutoring session with a teacher. I'd love to teach you. It will help you become more comfortable with casually speaking English.
