We are going to be two hours late. ( to be late for a place or event). As for the use of WOULD, no problem. In some sentences other options can also be possible. If it was in the task, I can provide you with the other options as well.

When I was living by the sea, I would go swimming at the beach every week
Very good! When the verb is "to be", you use "was" or "were" instead of "would". Examples> I wish the weather was better. I wish my friends were kinder.
