Hi! could you please help me and explain the correct choice?
In the next six months Aidan and Kim were earning / earned so much money they decided to leave university and go on tour
were earning or earned and why? is it ok to say both?
like if I emphasize that "earned" is a finished action then past simple
and if I mean that it was a process then past continuous

Hi Alina. First thing is: the word "next". "next" needs to be "last" = "в прошлом" а не в ближайши. Second thing is: either word is fine "earned" or "were earning". Your explanation of their use as "past simple" or "past continuous" is correct. I think you have a good "feel" for English. Good job!
