Hey Adam The word “do” refers to something happening now (in the present tense) “Where do you go to school?” would then mean the person you’re asking is currently a student at a school. The word “did” is the past tense form of “do” so you’d use the second phrase when someone is no longer in school anymore! Hope this helps :)
