What is difference between 시험 and 검사??

Normally,
* 시험 is an exam.
ex) 나는 어제 학교에서 시험을 봤어요. ~시험(을) + 보다.
* 검사 is a test.
ex) 어제 나는 코로나 검사를 받았어요. ~ 검사(를) + 받다./하다.
