EAL lessons
Hi X,
This is X.
I hope you’re doing well. Are you are you available today? Sorry, my VPN was not working last week
and my Messenger isn’t working, so I couldn’t contact you there. I just got your Email
from xx. If there is another way to reach you that
you prefer, please let me know.
Thank you very much, and have a great weekend! I am
looking forward to seeing you.
Best,
X

Hi [X],
This is [Your Name]. I hope you’re doing well. Are you available today?
Sorry, my VPN wasn’t working last week, and my Messenger isn’t working either, so I couldn’t contact you there. I just got your email from [XX]. If there’s another way you’d prefer to be reached, please let me know.
Thank you very much, and have a great weekend! I’m looking forward to seeing you.
Best,
X
1. “Are you are you available today?” → “Are you available today?”
• Removed the duplicate “are you.”
2. “Sorry, my VPN was not working last week and my Messenger isn’t working” → “Sorry, my VPN wasn’t working last week, and my Messenger isn’t working either”
• “Was not” → “wasn’t” for a more natural tone.
• Added “either” to clarify that both the VPN and Messenger had issues.
3. “I just got your Email” → “I just got your email”
• “Email” doesn’t need to be capitalized unless it’s the start of a sentence.
4. “If there is another way to reach you that you prefer” → “If there’s another way you’d prefer to be reached”
• This rewording makes it sound smoother and more natural.
