Could you please help check if my answers are correct.
1.I_was_just pouring_ (just, pour) myself a cup of tea when the phone_rang_(ring). When I_came_
(come) back from answering it, the cup __had been_ (be) empty. Somebody__drank_ (drink) the tea or __threw_(throw) it away.
2.A: It's already 10 o'clock. I guess Bob and Amy won't be coming to the party.
B: They __called__ (call) at nine to say that they _were hold up__(hold up).
please help correct it if there is anything wrong, thank you so much.

The cup was empty.
Somebody had drunk the tea or (had) thrown it away.
... to say that they were being held up
