The answer would be no.
A can is a cylindrical metal container, a jar is also a cylindrical container, but it is typically made from glass or pottery and usually has a lid.
A synonym for can would be tin.
A synonym for jar would be pot or jug.

Hi Ahmed, they aren't synonyms. Although they have a same function to store foods or drinks, but they're not cut from the same cloth when it comes to materials which they made from. Can is made from metal material, while jar is made from glass material. And jar is usually reusable while can is not.
