Different people have different purposes when communicating with others online. Some are positive and others are negative. There is a bad joke saying that when you think that you are just chatting with a charming woman, you might actually be chatting with a raunchy man rubbing his smelly feet. Maybe you will transfer some money to your "sweet baby" sooner or later, then "she" will delete you from “her” friends list. This is something we are always taught in order to avoid frauds. But most of the time, we talk with our friends online without any concerns. We share the same hobbies and create a lot of group chats to communicate with each other. We share good things and get some good advice from others to improve ourselves in various areas. So, whether online communication is bad or not really depends on what you want from it. If your purpose is negative, you can't blame anyone else but yourself for being defrauded!
