Please help me with the question 7.
I know here should be " to overcome", but can I use " overcoming " here? When I use " …the determination overcoming", is it incorrect?

I would say OVERCOMING is incorrect. I'm not a grammar expert, so can't say why. But here are some other examples that may help you understand:
We decided to go to a restaurant. (correct)
We decided going to a restaurant. (incorrect)
I want to learn French. (correct)
I want learning French. (incorrect)
