In the alienated consciousness, we perceive our own being like an ego. Then, we see our “self” like a product, a wrapper, a thing that we are evaluating from outside. In that situation we are thinking about how is our “self”, what their qualities are, their defects, etc. Then, we come across those typical ruminations: “but after all I am an intelligent person!”, “I am handsome”, “I am nice, most of people like me”, “I am valiant” and the like. Saying these, you keep describing yourself like a thing, like a product, like if you were something else that you take through life with yourself and which you must to do something important with. Then you talk with yourself according with this point of view, you nag yourself about those moments you screwed it up, or you repeat yourself how good some of the things you achieved in the past were. But in all these cases you are always trying to reach a value from outside, a good opinion from the people, a high price from society as a person... in this situation you are, of course, inhibited for living. However, if we try to focus our attention not on the evaluation from outside, but on being completely in the action from inside, then we forget our ego. In this case, you create a complete different relationship with yourself. Now the goal isn’t to get a good assessment from outside, but a total implication from inside in each action you perform. Now you experiment yourself in the process of living, of being related, of doing anything... here you must to forget the ego because it would hinder you to accomplish this. So the more you deny and forget your ego, the less in fear you are, and the more you can live your life as being your true self. As the Guita says: perform all action with your all mind immerse in the “yes”, being free from any expectation or selfishness; consider as the same happiness or affliction, victory or defeat, win or lose, life or death, and enter into combat, thus fulfilling your duty and avoiding all sin.
