It’s sunny today. Back home, Mom surprised me with a brand new soup – authentic Cantonese pear soup! From what I could see, it was filled with juicy pears, crystal sugar(I guess), plump jujubes, and almonds. There was also a mysterious spice that seemed like cinnamon, or whatever tree bark?
The secret ingredient, though, seemed to be simmer time. Mom left the whole pot bubbling on the stove after boiling for hours. By the end, half the water had transformed into a concentrated, flavorful essence. Every spoonful was a delight! We definitely need to make this soup again soon.

concentrated, flavorful essence. Every spoonful was a delight! We definitely
need to make this soup again soon.
Sounds souper! 😂

Sound more like a dessert to me! Yum!
