One day, when you log into your WeChat, you see a friend request from a lovely stranger. You think that he must be a handsome man because all of his photos look wonderful. You may be tempted to accept his request without doubt / hesitation. In the next days, you chat with him and even fall in love with him until when he tries to borrow money from you and you lend him money, then you never receive any messages from him again. You finally understand that it is a scam and that someone pretended to be someone they were not. These were some of the real things that happened on social media / networks and they even happen every day. The virtual society gives some fraudsters a chance to get money. It hurts those people who just want to use the social media to make friends. It makes more and more people afraid of accepting friend requests on social media. Slowly, social media are losing their real value. So, I think that trust is what is currently lacking on social networks.
