Could you check my text please? A special notification. Yesterday evening all employees of our company got a notification that informed they that it’s needed to stay at home tomorrow and work remotely because of the coming snowstorm and a strong wind. So today (and as I already know we gonna do tomorrow) we worked from home because of the weather conditions. I remember when I lived in the northern part of the island, we had way bigger snowstorms and stronger winds, but anyway we went to work. Back then we hadn’t got an oppurtunity to work remotely though. But here in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk every now and then when a forecast is frightening we need to take our laptops with us and wait for a special notification wether we need to go to the office or stay home. Last year, for instance, in January as well, we stayed at home the whole two weeks. It was a long snowstorm that lasted around a week. And on the second week city services cleaned the streets from a huge amount of snow, they had to work very hard. One more fact, yesterday evening, and always before a big coming snowstorm, stores were fully packed with people. We even couldn’t find any bread there. People obviously tried to store up on food. Thank you!
