I leave you a little passive and active voice exercise in past or present tense and some modal verbs. It is about coffee, as well as its history and preparation:
Coffee is one of the world's most popular beverages. Every day, billions of litres of coffee __________ (𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸) by millions of people all over the world. Its history is fascinating. Coffee __________ (𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲) for the first time in Yemen in the fifteenth, and Yemeni traders soon started selling it across the Arab world. By the end of the sixteenth century, it __________ (𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲) to Persia, Turkey and North Africa. From there it spread to Europe and to America. And it is still growing in popularity. Twenty years ago, coffee __________ (𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸) by many people in Korea, but today it is incredibly popular. Hundreds of coffee houses __________ (𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻) in the country during the las few years.
Coffee __________ (𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲) from the roasted coffee beans of the coffee plant. Originally, coffee plants only __________ (𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄) in Africa, but now they __________ (𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲) in over seventy countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia and India, as well as in Africa.
Thera are, of course, many ways of making a good cup of cofffe. To my mind, however, a French press or cafetière __________ (𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 / 𝘂𝘀𝗲) to get the most out of the coffee beans. The coffee __________ (𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 / 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀) slowly and carefully before it __________ (𝗰𝗮𝗻 / 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸).
