I started to learn English from junior high school, but I didn't learn the International Phonetic Alphabet systematically, so my pronunciation is not standard, my sentences can't be read continuously, and my accent problem is serious. Have you ever learned phonetic symbols? How do you say it well? Any suggestions?

Phonetic symbols can be helpful in English because the language is not phonetic, so some letters or combinations of letters make sounds that you wouldn't expect. Some people also get really good results without using them too, because you can learn which combinations of letters make which sounds. It also helps to record yourself speaking in order to train yourself to hear the wrong sounds that you are making.

I didn't pay much attention to the written phonetics. It's much better to have conversations and aproach an "inmersive" kind of learning in my experience.
