You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam, ____________________________________________ Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Kseniia T. and I am a permanent resident of Rosewood Road. I have been living here for the past 6 years. I am writing this letter regarding the advertising I have read last night in the 'Rosewood Newspaper' about award. I would be glad to suggest as candidate my neighbour and active member of our society Mr. Robert Haas helping our community. I moved here with my family 6 years ago due to the fascinating park being a habitat of the rarest kinds of animals. But we faced with the land pollution issue some years ago. However, waste sorting baskets and CCTV cameras was installed by Mr.Haas resulting in significant improving the situation. For example, it decreased amount of waste and rubbish in our amazing park. 4 months ago Mr. Haas has organized 'Rosewood Green Society' to assemble residents of Rosewood Road and continue his environmental protection activity. I hope you will consider my opinion and accept that candidacy. I also sincerely believe, you will agree to offer Mr. Haas funding his ecological company and promote his society. I sure, each member of our community consider Mr.Haas a worthy person. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Kseniia T.

Hey there! Just some notes on your English. - Make sure to use the correct verb tenses. In English, there is a wide variety of implications behind each verb, so choose the right one carefully. You’ll see that the most common error you made was using the present gerund “-ing” ending when something wasn’t immediate. - When it comes to names of things that aren’t works of art, like community organizations or street names, be sure not to use quotations. Quotations imply that someone else has given a name for something as an entity on its own. Communities and streets are usually considered without sources for their names. To add to that, using quotations for an entity like an organization, ergo “ACLU” or “NRA”, would imply that an organization lacks legitimacy. - Community awards in the West (such as in the UK or the USA) are usually given out by committees. To add to that, we don’t really think that parks have unique animals (sorry) - you might be looking for the word “zoo” there. - When it comes to phrasing, your ideas are a bit unclear. If you’re learning English, try emphasizing in a somewhat terse format instead of a series of sentences. - I see that you’re writing in British English (I think!). So be sure to change whatever I’ve written in American English to British English. I don’t think I used any uniquely American spelling mentions, but make sure.

I have lived here for the past 6 years. I am writing this letter regarding the advertisement I read last night in the Rosewood Newspaper about the town’s Community Service Award. I would ask that the awarding committee consider my neighbour Mr. Robert Hass, who has benefited our community greatly. I moved here with my family 6 years ago. We loved the nearby zoo and it’s selection of incredibly rare animals. However, our move has come with difficulty. Some years ago, littering and land pollution became prevalent. Without assistance, Mr. Hass installed CCTV cameras and public waste baskets - both of which improved the situation greatly. Since then, the zoo’s appearance has decreased amount of rubbish. In addition, Mr. Hass also established the Rosewood Green Society four months ago. The Society helps protect our landscape and forms an ecologically-focused community for residents of Rosewood Road. As a community member, working professional and neighbour of Mr.Hass, I would ask that the committee consider him for the award. His efforts have transformed our community and have greatly benefited our environment. I also ask that the committee consider Mr. Hass and the Rosewood Green Society for future grants and public funding. Thank you for your consideration and time. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Kseniia T. Rosewood Road
