It was overcast today. After school, Mom and I took a detour to the grocery store that was running a promotion. Mom was mainly buying fruits per her plan. But quickly I found an aisle of items that were all priced very low, and I got carried away, filling my cart with various snacks. I knew it was way over our budget, but still I tried my luck, hoping Mom wouldn’t mind. Yet, Mom refused to purchase them, and I had to put them back one by one, which wasted a lot of time, (or - took a ling time) and was embarrassing. I learned my lesson: we must resist impulse buying, no matter the price, or we’ll end up poor.
